Brett L. Kuller is a personal injury trial attorney. His mission is to help catastrophically injured clients obtain the compensation they are entitled to. He focuses on construction site accident, motor vehicle accident, police misconduct, and trip and fall cases. He consistently obtains outstanding results for his clients and has been named a Super Lawyer every year since 2021, in the field of personal injury. Selection to Super Lawyers involves peer nomination, independent review, and only 5% of attorneys in New York are named Super Lawyers. Mr. Kuller was also named to the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 list for 2019 and 2020. He was named a 2024 Lawyer of the Year by the American Institute of Legal Professionals in the field of personal injury law. The American Institute of Legal Professionals is an invitation only organization comprised of the top trial attorneys from each state, and less than .5% of all lawyers are selected for admission. Mr. Kuller is also a member of the Lawyers of Distinction organization, which includes the most prominent lawyers in the United States. Less than 1% of lawyers in the United States are accepted into the Lawyers of Distinction organization each year.

Brett obtains maximum recovery for his client’s because he will take the case to trial if the insurance company refuses to pay fair compensation. Most lawyers don’t do trials; Brett became a lawyer because he wanted to conduct trials. He has obtained millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for his clients and several of Brett’s cases have been reported in the New York Law Journal’s top verdicts and settlements.  

Recent settlements include resolution of a construction site accident case on the eve of trial for $6,000,000, and settlement of a motor vehicle accident case on the eve of trial for $3,750,000. In another recent case, the insurance company’s settlement offer before trial was $45,000. The case settled during trial for $2,450,000, after Brett effectively cross-examined the defense witnesses. In another case, the insurance company’s offer before trial was $15,000, which was increased to $30,000 during trial. The client rejected the offers and the jury returned a verdict in the amount of $2,050,000. Brett obtained a $2,225,000 settlement during trial in a case against the New York City Police Department involving excessive force claims. In that case, the defendant refused to offer one dollar before trial. He also settled a motor vehicle accident case for $1,700,000 on the eve of trial and settled a case involving a trip and fall accident at mediation for $1,600,000. Brett settled a case against the New York City Housing Authority during trial for $1,500,000. The offer in that case prior to trial was $30,000. Brett obtained a $1,225,000 settlement during trial in a case where his client was injured by a bus operated by the New York City Transit Authority. At one trial, the insurance company offered $16,000 to settle the case; the client rejected the offer, and the jury returned a verdict of $493,000.
